Norbert Edomah

Dr. Norbert Edomah is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Science and Technology, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a doctorate degree in Energy and Environmental Sustainability from the Global Sustainability Institute, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, United Kingdom. Prior to joining the Pan-Atlantic University, he had worked for over 10 years in the manufacturing and engineering services sectors. His experience spans through plant operations and maintenance to sales, marketing and business development of engineering products and solutions with leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Schneider Electric and TetraPak. His research interests include: industrial energy efficiency and cleaner production; influences underlying changes in energy supply infrastructure; politics of energy infrastructure supply; public policy to improve energy security; and planning and organization of the electricity markets in developing African countries. He is keen about understanding how people respond to (and influence) changes in energy infrastructure systems. He served on two advisory boards of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He is author of several academic peer-reviewed journal articles on various aspects of energy. His recent book on Electricity and Energy Transition in Nigeria, published by Routledge, is the first major research monograph that covers the dynamics of energy transition and energy systems change in Nigeria from a historical, policy, governance, consumer, industrial policy and future perspectives. He has consulted for several local and international organizations.

Norbert currently leads courses on: Research Methods; Production/Operations Management; and Introduction to Mathematical Methods (Mathematics for Digital Media). He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK and a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) UK.
