MONITORING, EVALUATION & LEARNING ASSOCIATE – Full Time

The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Associate will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of institution-wide monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems at Pan-Atlantic University. Working under the supervision of the MEL Lead, the Associate will contribute to strengthening data quality, enabling evidence-based decision-making, and fostering a culture of learning and accountability across academic and administrative units.

The role supports MEL needs across the university — including academic units, student services, administrative departments, and strategic programs such as the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program — ensuring a unified approach to data collection, performance tracking, reporting, and institutional learning.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
 Assist in the design and implementation of MEL frameworks, tools, and processes that support institutional planning, compliance, and continuous improvement.
 Collect, clean, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from departments and programs across the university, maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
 Develop data collection instruments (e.g., surveys, feedback tools, assessment forms) and contribute to building digital solutions using platforms such as Power Apps, Excel, SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL or Power BI.
 Support the production of dashboards, reports, and visualisations that communicate insights clearly to academic and administrative leaders.
 Participate in learning activities such as focus groups, interviews, stakeholder consultations, and reflection sessions to document emerging themes, trends and lessons.
 Contribute to the strengthening of institutional databases and data governance practices, ensuring consistent use of identifiers and improved interoperability across departments.

 Collaborate closely with units such as Admissions, Academics, Student Affairs, Careers,
Alumni Relations, and program teams to track indicators, monitor progress, and align data practices.
 Assist with preparation of periodic reports and submissions required by internal leadership or external partners.
 Support the MEL Lead in conducting evaluations, tracer studies, outcomes assessments, and other research exercises that inform institutional strategy.
 Help document processes, build institutional memory, and support capacity-building for staff on data management and MEL practices.

 A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
 Additional training or certification in monitoring and evaluation, data analytics, research methods, or information systems will be an added advantage.
 1–3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, research, programme tracking, or a related role.
 Practical experience working with data systems, databases, or reporting tools.
 Experience supporting programme monitoring, reporting, or learning activities in an institutional, development, or educational setting is desirable.

 Possess foundational experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, research methods, or related fields.
 Demonstrate strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
 Be proficient in database modelling and comfortable learning and using data and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, Power Apps, or similar platforms.
 Have the ability to interpret, analyse, and present data in a clear and meaningful way to support decision-making.

 Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate well with diverse teams and stakeholders.
 Be highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
 Show a strong commitment to using data and evidence to improve institutional effectiveness, programme performance, and student outcomes.

COMMUNICATIONS & PR SPECIALIST – Full Time

The Communications and Public Relations Specialist will serve as a central point of coordination for institutional information across the University’s two campuses. The role ensures systematic gathering, verification, documentation, and dissemination of information for internal communication, media engagement, corporate reporting, and branded merchandise management.

The position strengthens institutional visibility, message coherence, governance, and institutional memory by establishing structured, auditable systems for communication outputs and records.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Institutional Information Gathering & Coordination
 Proactively engage academic and administrative units across both campuses to obtain timely updates on activities, milestones, research outputs, events, partnerships, and achievements.
 Establish and manage a structured information-gathering framework to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of data received from units.
 Serve as the primary liaison between the Communications Unit and other departments for institutional storytelling and documentation.
2. Internal Communication
 Curate and circulate verified information internally through approved communication channels, including emails, intranet updates, and internal newsletters.
 Ensure staff are well-informed of University-wide initiatives, achievements, and developments in a timely and professional manner

 Support leadership communication by preparing briefs and summaries for internal dissemination.
3. Media Sensitisation and External Engagement
 Identify information of media value and prepare appropriate briefs for external communication.
 Support media sensitisation by sharing relevant institutional updates, achievements, and thought leadership activities in line with the University’s communication strategy.
 Work with the Communications Unit to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment in all external-facing information.
4. Annual Report & Institutional Reporting
 Coordinate the systematic monthly compilation of content required for the University’s Annual Report, ensuring comprehensive coverage of activities across both campuses.
 Maintain a structured repository of monthly reports, data, visuals, and narratives to support year-end reporting.
 Liaise with relevant units to validate information and ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with institutional reporting standards.
 Support the preparation of other institutional and regulatory reports as required.
5. Branded Merchandise Records & Accountability
 Maintain accurate records of all branded merchandise produced, distributed, and sold by the Communications Unit.
 Track inventory levels, production batches, pricing, sales, and distribution points in line with approved processes.
 Support accountability and transparency by ensuring proper documentation for internal review and audit purposes.
 Work with relevant units to provide periodic summaries of merchandise activity, including stock status and sales performance.
 Ensure branded merchandise aligns with the University’s brand guidelines and communication objectives.

6. Documentation & Knowledge Management
 Create and maintain an organised archive of institutional communications, reports, media materials, and merchandise records.
 Ensure continuity and institutional memory by documenting processes, timelines, and reporting cycles.

 A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or Master’s degree in Communications, Media, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
 Demonstrable, cognate experience in communications, public relations, media, institutional communications, or related fields.
 Professional membership or certification from a recognised communications, media, or public relations body will be an added advantage.
 Experience working in a corporate, academic, development, or institutional environment with responsibility for information management, reporting, or communications is desirable.
 Proven experience supporting internal communications, media engagement, or institutional reporting will be an added advantage

 Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging institutional content.
 Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple information streams, deadlines, and stakeholders across different units.

VISUAL MEDIA SPECIALIST (VIDEOGRAPHY & PHOTOGRAPHY) – Full Time

The Visual Media Specialist (Videography & Photography) is responsible for capturing, producing, and curating high-quality visual content that tells compelling, human-centred stories about the University, its people, programmes, and impact.
The role transforms approved institutional narratives into powerful visual stories—through photography, video, and multimedia—supporting visibility, engagement, and reputation across digital platforms, campaigns, and initiatives.

The primary objective of this role is to produce creative visual content and execute effective storytelling.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Visual Storytelling & Creative Direction
 Conceptualise and execute visual stories that communicate the University’s mission, values, and impact.
 Translate approved story ideas and briefs into compelling visual narratives using video and photography.
 Develop storyboards, shot lists, and creative concepts aligned with communication objectives.
 Capture authentic moments that reflect academic life, student experience, leadership, research, and community impact.
2. Videography & Photography Production
 Plan and execute high-quality video and photo shoots for:

o Corporate communication

o Programme features and human-interest stories
o Promotional and documentary-style content
o University events and activities
o Documenting projects and developmental timelines
o Campus life features capturing staff, students and university guests

 Operate and maintain professional video and photography equipment.
 Ensure technical excellence in lighting, composition, sound, and framing.

3. Post-Production & Editing
 Edit video and photographic content to professional standards, including colour grading,
sound editing, subtitling, and formatting for multiple platforms.
 Produce multiple content versions optimised for different channels (short-form, long-form,
reels, documentaries).
 Ensure visual storytelling aligns with brand guidelines without owning brand governance.
4. Human-Centred & Impact Storytelling
 Capture stories that highlight people, journeys, and outcomes—students, faculty, alumni,
partners, and communities.
 Support impact storytelling for flagship programmes (e.g., donor-funded initiatives)
through ethical, respectful, and accurate visual narratives.
 Collaborate with programme teams to understand context and translate it into meaningful
visual stories.
5. Content Planning & Collaboration
 Work closely with Communications, Media, and Brand specialists to align visual output
with content calendars and campaigns.
 Contribute creative ideas and concepts to institutional storytelling initiatives.

6. Visual Asset Management
 Organise and maintain a structured archive of photo and video assets.
 Ensure proper tagging, labelling, and version control for easy retrieval.

7. Professional Standards & Ethics
 Obtain informed consent where required and respect privacy and dignity in visual
storytelling.
 Ensure compliance with institutional policies regarding photography, videography, and use
