Ogechi Ekechi
Dr Ekechi holds a doctorate degree in English from the University of Ibadan, an M.A. English from the University of Lagos and a B.A. Linguistics from the University of Calabar.
She currently teaches World Civilization and Use of Library, Study Skills and ICT.
Prior to joining PAU, Dr Ekechi served as the Principal of Aquinas Private College and lectured part-time at the Department of English, Yaba College of Technology and Lagos State University Sandwich program. She had also worked for the Institute of Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria as the Zonal Director (South West) and edited and proofread their program manuals. Dr. Ekechi is a project supervisor for National Open University's final-year English students.
Dr Ekechi’s research interests include, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Pragmatics, Cultural Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. She is a member of Pragmatics Association of Nigeria.
