We are delighted to announce that our university’s team, the Blazers, have achieved remarkable success at the African Rover Challenge! Securing a well-deserved 2nd place and winning a 2,000 R cash prize is a testament to their exceptional skills, dedication, and innovative spirit.
Not only did they excel in the competition, but they also captured the prestigious Best Outreach award, showcasing their commitment to engaging and inspiring the community. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our university community, from faculty and staff to fellow students.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the organisers for creating such an inspiring and challenging competition. While the Blazers narrowly missed the top spot by a mere 2 points, their enthusiasm for the future remains undeterred. They are already looking ahead to their next adventure in South Africa, where they will continue to explore the frontiers of space and Mars.
