Who Are We?
Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) is a private university licensed by the Federal Government of
Nigeria. PAU is owned by the Pan-Atlantic University Foundation, a registered not-for-profit
in Nigeria. PAU offers academic programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, from
its Schools and Units. It also offers executive programmes and short-focused programmes for
professionals.

What Personal Information Do We Collect from Our Users?
When you use any of PAU’s online services, contact us via phone or email or apply to any of
our programmes, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable
information that can be used to contact or identify you:
Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Name, Nationality, Gender, Date of birth and Religion
- Contact details (address, email and phone number)
- Communication preferences
- Employment information (name of organization, job title, level, work experience,
industries worked in) - Educational background (institution(s), course and year of graduation)
- Test scores (UTME, WAEC/GCE, A/LEVELS, GRE, GMAT)
We may also collect information on how our website is accessed and used, i.e. Usage Data.
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP)
address, browser type, browser version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit,
the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Furthermore, we use Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems in and around our premises
for the purposes of data collection, security, safety, and operational monitoring. CCTV
footage may capture images of individuals entering, exiting, or moving within our facilities.
The information collected through CCTV is used strictly to:
- Protect the safety of staff, students, visitors, and property
- Monitor compliance with institutional policies
- Assist in investigations of security-related incidents
CCTV recordings are stored securely and retained for a limited period, unless required for an
ongoing investigation or legal obligation. Access to these recordings is restricted to
authorized personnel only and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Also, individuals reserve the right to lodge privacy complaints with appropriate authorities.
How Do We Use the INFORMATION We Collect?
Personal information obtained from you is used for the following purposes:
- To contact you and provide you with up-to-date information about our products and
services (programmes, starting dates and reminders, application tips, events and
other relevant activities) - To provide customer care and support services
- To improve our website and personalize our services to better serve you
- To monitor the success of promotional campaigns
- To follow up after correspondence (live chat, email or phone inquiries)
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues

You are permitted to exercise the following rights:

however, retain core information like your name and email address to ensure we do

You are advised to inform us if there is any change to your personal information to keep our
database up to date.
