Engr. Patrick Nwanne Onwordi is a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Science and Technology at Pan-Atlantic University, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

Patrick is a seasoned mechanical engineer and academic with over eight years of experience in teaching, research, and engineering design. Patrick is a COREN-registered engineer and holds multiple certifications in Autodesk and SolidWorks, covering areas such as mechanical design, additive manufacturing, and simulation. He earned an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Design and Production) from the University of Lagos and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Covenant University.

Patrick has lectured at Bells University, Ota, where he guided students in advanced CAD/CAM technologies, additive manufacturing, and modern design methodologies. His instruction has helped students achieve high certification success rates, significantly boosting their employability. Previously, as a CAD/CAM technology specialist at Covenant University, Patrick designed machine parts, simulated mechanical systems, and facilitated practical applications of 3D printing and reverse engineering.

An accomplished researcher, Patrick has published extensively in reputable journals on topics such as materials engineering, renewable energy, and design innovation. His practical contributions include designing a functioning waste plastic pelletizing machine and a food waste skimmer facility. With a strong passion for education and problem-solving, Patrick combines technical expertise, leadership, and innovation to advance engineering and empower students in a rapidly evolving industry.

Patrick is also currently a doctoral student of Mechanical Engineering at Landmark University, Omu-aran, Kwara State.

Qualifications

M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Design and Production) from the University of Lagos and a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Covenant University.
