After an intense campaign period, the eagerly awaited student council elections took place yesterday, April 24, 2024
Awele Chizim emerged as the new Student Activities Officer after amassing 50% of the votes cast.
Anjolaoluwa Amao and Gabriella Agbor-Agabi, who ran unopposed for the positions of Finance Officer and Secretary, gained 94.5% and 95.6% of all votes, respectively.
For the position of Vice Chairperson, the second most coveted role within the Student Council, Nasirudeen Babalola emerged as the winner, earning a total of 64.38% of the votes.
Finally, in the most anticipated result of the election, Prisca Okocha-Ojeah was announced as the new Student Council Chairperson, winning 60.8% of the total votes. She previously served as the Vice Chairperson of the Student Council for the 2022/2023 academic session.
