
Tolu Olagunju

Background:
Tolu Olagunju is a faculty member in the Design and New Media Department at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Science and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Ibadan. His research interests span social informatics, data and information policies, emerging media and technologies, digital social capital, and corporate sustainability.
At SMC, Tolu has facilitated and co-facilitated several courses and supervised numerous student research projects. He is also an associate at the Centre for Media and Communication Research (CMCR) and manages the Journal of Creative Media (JCM), a publication of the School. Beyond academia, his professional background includes roles in sales, marketing, operations, and project management. He is a registered member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and contributes regularly as a columnist to prominent Nigerian dailies.
Tolu’s work has been published in respected international journals including African Identities, Agenda, Journal of Developing Societies, Journal of African Films & Diaspora Studies, Studies on Ethno-Medicine, and Society & Sustainability.
