3rd International Ethics Conference (GET 2)

Theme: Safeguarding Democracy in Africa: Electoral Integrity, Responsible Citizenship, and the Role of Technology

Pan-Atlantic University, in collaboration with Cavendish University, is proud to announce the 3rd International Ethics Conference, the second in the Governance, Ethics and Technology (GET) Conference series.

Across Africa, democratic governance continues to grapple with challenges such as electoral credibility, institutional trust, political polarisation, and the marginalisation of vulnerable groups. At the same time, digital technologies—including biometric systems, electronic results transmission, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and social media platforms—are reshaping electoral administration, political communication, and civic participation.

While these innovations promise greater transparency, efficiency, and participation, they also raise pressing ethical concerns: disinformation, privacy violations, algorithmic bias, digital exclusion, and cyber vulnerabilities.

This landmark conference will convene scholars, policymakers, practitioners, civil society actors, and technologists to rigorously engage with these issues and chart informed pathways for strengthening democratic governance in Africa’s rapidly evolving digital age.

📍 Venue: Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos

📅 Date: August 5–7, 2026
