Background:

Dr. Japhet Osazefua Imhanzenobe is a professional academic and financial expert dedicated to simplifying complex concepts for diverse audiences. With a profound understanding of the business world, Japhet’s research works effectively bridge the gaps between academia and industry. As a senior lecturer at Pan-Atlantic University, he imparts knowledge to undergraduate students and postgraduate students and participants, focusing on financial reporting, accounting information systems, financial analytics, and business ethics. He currently serves as the Head of department of Finance. He also serves as the Director of the Professional certificates Program for the School of Management and Social Sciences (SMSS). Dr. Japhet’s industry experience extends to his role as a Financial Controller, where he oversaw financial records, prepared comprehensive financial reports, and engaged with external audit processes. Additionally, he held a significant position as a Chief Accountant and Database Manager, responsible for developing and implementing robust accounting procedures and software systems that remain instrumental to this day.

 

Research interest: Dr. Japhet Imhanzenobe has a strong research focus on corporate reporting, financial sustainability, and management. Dr. Japhet is particularly interested in investigating factors that influence corporate information disclosures (both financial and non-financial information) and the consequences of this disclosure for the performance and sustainability of African companies and financial markets.

Teaching: Faculty leads courses in Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Accounting Laboratory, Financial Analytics and Business Ethics

Africa Student Leaders programme (ASLP) – Financial manager for the ASLP program (a collaborative ethical Leadership project between PAU and EduCollab). The project, which lasted for 10 months (Feb 2025 to Nov 2025), was aimed at training 20 student leaders across 10 different universities in Africa on ethical leadership. The project received a grant of $96,286 from the sponsors (Education Collaborative).
