It is with great pleasure that we announce that Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) has been ranked among the top 45 universities in Sub-Saharan Africa in the inaugural QS World University Rankings for Sub-Saharan Africa. PAU is one of two private universities in Nigeria to be included in the ranking.
This achievement reflects our well-rounded education in employability, internationalisation, research, and sustainability, supporting our mission to develop competent, committed professionals who serve with initiative and social responsibility.
Receiving the award on behalf of the University, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Uche Uzo, said, “For me, this is a testament to the high standards we set for ourselves as a university. The global recognition the university is beginning to receive shows that PAU is not only a university that stands out in Nigeria, but it is increasingly being recognised within the continent of Africa. Our university performed best in research and sustainability, both of which align perfectly with the strategic objectives of the university.”
This ranking is a step in the right direction and an encouragement for everyone in the University to continue pursuing our mission of preparing ethical leaders who are equipped to transform society.
The QS World University Rankings is an annual publication by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) that evaluates over 1,500 top global universities based on academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, and sustainability. It is considered one of the most widely read university rankings, helping students and professionals compare institutions worldwide.
