Pan-Atlantic University recently hosted Professor Chimwemwe Chipeta, Director of the Wits Fintech Hub at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, in a significant step towards a strategic partnership between the two universities. The visit focused on exploring collaborative opportunities in finance and fintech, particularly in areas like knowledge sharing, joint research projects on digital financial services for development, and the development of a framework for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for future collaboration. Professor Chipeta’s visit highlights Pan-Atlantic University’s commitment to fostering innovation in finance and fintech through collaboration with leading institutions.
Professor Chipeta met with key faculty members at our School of Management and Social Sciences, Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Finance (SIDF) research center and the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) at Lagos Business School to discuss these initiatives.
