Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) is delighted to announce the successful completion of interviews for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2025. This marks a significant milestone in the selection process, following an overwhelming response of approximately 1000 applications from highly talented young individuals across various states in Nigeria.
During the interviewing phase, PAU representatives met with prospective Scholars who demonstrated exceptional potential despite facing significant social and economic barriers to education. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is specifically designed to empower a diverse group of young people, including those living with disabilities, internally displaced youth, and young women interested in pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programmes.
The demographic breakdown of the qualified applicants underscores the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program commitment to inclusivity and gender balance. Of the nearly 2000 applications, 50.6% are women, and 49.4% are men, reflecting a strong representation of female talent eager to embark on transformative educational journeys.
The successful candidates from this interview process will join a vibrant community of Mastercard Foundation Scholars at Pan-Atlantic University, benefiting from the support of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, which provides tuition, accommodation, living stipends, and leadership development opportunities.
