Pan-Atlantic University, on behalf of the Mastercard Foundation, has distributed computer tablets to students from six public senior secondary schools in Ibeju-Lekki as part of its community relations initiative.
The flag-off event, held in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat, saw sixty (60) senior secondary students (SS3): 10 from each school, receive tablets to support their learning. Dignitaries present included the Oba of Ibeju-Lekki, community elders, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, principals, and teachers.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Community Relations at PAU, Mr Frank Wiggle, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to “bringing out the best in pupils through access to digital tools and quality education.”
The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Honourable Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, commended the initiative, describing it as “an investment in the future of our students,” noting that the tablets will “facilitate learning and inspire innovation.”
The distribution forms part of PAU’s ongoing efforts under the CSR Initiative to strengthen community engagement, foster academic excellence, and bridge the digital learning gap in the communities.
