Pan-Atlantic University formally welcomed 782 new undergraduate students at its 12th Matriculation Ceremony on the Ibeju-Lekki campus. The ceremony opened with an academic procession and an opening prayer by the University Chaplains.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Enase Okonedo described the 2025/2026 admission process as one of PAU’s most competitive, driven by record-high UTME scores nationwide, including the highest score recorded among PAU applicants since 2020.
From 1,690 applications, 782 students were admitted with strong enrolment in the newly introduced BSc Data Science and BSc Strategic Communication programmes. A landmark milestone was the admission of 60 Mastercard Foundation Scholars, advancing PAU’s commitment to expanding access to quality education and developing ethical African leaders.

Prof. Okonedo announced the alignment of the academic calendar with global standards to enable international exchanges and internships, and highlighted the recent appointment of Professor Uchenna Uzo as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
She emphasised assigned mentors, course advisers, and active participation in clubs, innovation, and entrepreneurship, concluding with PAU’s mission: “To form competent and committed professionals and encourage them to serve with personal initiative and social responsibility, thereby helping to build a better society in Nigeria and Africa at large.”
The Registrar, Mr Kingsley Ukaoha, then administered the matriculation pledge, with students solemnly committing to uphold the University’s rules, integrity, and values.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered on behalf of the matriculating students, expressing gratitude to the Governing Council, Senate, principal officers, faculty, staff, parents, guardians, and the entire PAU community.
