Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from Ashesi University, Ghana, marking a vibrant chapter in their collaborative student exchange programme focused on enriching cultural understanding and entrepreneurial spirit.
The exchange programme emphasises cultural entrepreneurship across film, music, and fashion, while integrating strong leadership development components. This initiative reflects PAU’s commitment to nurturing creativity and leadership among students in diverse fields.
The visiting team was led by Dr. Millicent Adjei, Director of International Programs, and Mrs. Rosemary Kotei-Buckman. During their visit, they engaged with key stakeholders at PAU, including the Registrar, Mr Kingsley Ukaoha, Deans, Heads of Department, Student Affairs, and service units.
Key Activities
- Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art (YSMA): The delegation participated in a session on “leadership through the lens of visual arts.”
- Lagos Business School: Discussions explored potential collaborations in executive education and MBA programmes.
- Enterprise Development Centre (EDC): The team examined contributions to curriculum development, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship and fashion.
Beyond campus activities, the delegation toured partner sites to deepen their understanding of Nigeria’s creative industries:
- Nike Art Gallery – a hub for contemporary African art.
- Black Box Film Production Company – offering insights into Nigeria’s dynamic film sector.
The visit strengthened ties between Pan-Atlantic University and Ashesi University, advancing shared goals of cultural exchange, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. This collaboration highlights the importance of fostering connections across African institutions to empower the next generation of leaders.
