A recent video claimed private universities are “easy” places to pass. That’s a misconception worth correcting. To those who dismiss private universities as “easy,” I see you.
I once came across a vox pop where a young lady claimed that Pan-Atlantic University students aren’t academically sound. I couldn’t help but laugh—not because her words were amusing, but because they revealed how little she knew. Ignorance often makes people judge what they barely understand.
I cannot speak for every institution, but I can speak for Pan-Atlantic University: it is anything but “easy.” PAU stretches you—sometimes to the point where you question your decision to enroll. Every grade is earned. No shortcuts. No bribery. No favours. What makes this culture even more defining is its ethical backbone. Integrity isn’t just preached here; it’s practiced.
The standards are clear—your work must be your own, your effort must be genuine, and your success must be honest. In a place where ethics guide academics, achievement carries real weight.
On campus, time is treated with utmost seriousness. If you arrive even a minute late to class, the door is closed and entry is no longer allowed. Everyone quickly learns the unwritten rule: show up five minutes early, take your seat, and be ready before anything begins.
Attendance is just as strict. To qualify for the semester exam, you must maintain at least 80% attendance. Miss too many classes, and the exam is out of reach.
High fees do not translate to low standards or special treatment. At PAU, students are treated exactly as they should be—with discipline, accountability, and uncompromising academic rigour. So when people dismiss private universities as “easy,” I can only smile.
Be informed. Do not let ignorance do your thinking for you.
