In a breathtaking display of excellence that shattered expectations and rewrote history, Pan-Atlantic University’s 22nd Convocation Ceremony became a powerful testament to the unstoppable rise of female talent, pioneering innovation, and academic supremacy.

The atmosphere on the Lekki campus was electric as families, dignitaries, and the entire PAU community witnessed something truly extraordinary: every single special award handed out went to a woman. Not one. Not most. All 13. From entrepreneurship to engineering, economics to accounting—the honours stage belonged entirely to brilliant, trailblazing women of the Class of 2025.
At the heart of this triumph stood Duru Dumebi, the valedictorian who delivered a stirring address after achieving an impeccable 5.0 CGPA—a perfect score that crowned her not only as the Best Student in Computer Science but also as the Best Overall Student of the Class of 2025. Her words echoed with resilience and vision, inspiring a generation and cementing her place as a symbol of what determination can achieve.

This convocation was already destined for the history books as Pan-Atlantic University proudly conferred degrees on its very first cohorts of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering graduates. These diverse pioneering engineers—comprising both men and women trained to tackle Africa’s toughest technological challenges—stepped forward as the vanguard of PAU’s bold new era in STEM.
And claiming top honours in these groundbreaking programmes? Mbachu Sara, named Best Student in Mechanical Engineering, and Oyeniyi Kofoworola, Best Student in Electrical & Electronics Engineering—two phenomenal women who excelled in fields long dominated by tradition.
As postgraduate scholars, including new Doctors of Philosophy and Master’s graduates in Data Science, Economics, and Media & Communication, joined the celebration, the message was unmistakable: Pan-Atlantic University is nurturing a generation of leaders ready to transform Africa and the world.
This was more than a graduation. It was a declaration.
The Class of 2025 has shown that excellence knows no boundaries—and today, it wore maroon and gold with unapologetic brilliance.
Congratulations to our history-makers. The future isn’t just bright—it’s female, fearless, and engineered for greatness.
